Unmissable: The 2016 Mazda CX-3
November 01 2015, Agincourt Mazda
The all-new 2016 Mazda CX-3 debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week. Mazda's all-new compact crossover fits the creative and flexible lifestyles Mazda drivers prefer, where driving to work, picking up the kids and that weekend getaway you've been planning need the same excellent experience you've grown to expect. The new generation 2016 Mazda CX-3 is based on the Mazda2 but it's more than an upgrade - it's a revelation.
As Kory Koreeda, President of Mazda Canada notes, this isn't a one-time thing: "Mazda has been on a roll introducing captivating new vehicles featuring our ground-breaking SKYACTIV Technology, and the CX-3 follows in the footsteps of award-winning vehicles like the Mazda3 and CX-5. The CX-3 not only rounds out our CX family of SUVs but also gives consumers an option in the compact SUV segment that is not only smartly styled inside and out but also highlights Mazda's fun-to-drive nature and the excellent fuel efficiency that consumers have come to expect from SKYACTIV Technology."
SKYACTIV Technology and KODO-Soul of Motion design are definitively applied in this next-generation vehicle. The powertrain line-up includes two engine types, the SKYACTIV-D 1.5-litre clean diesel engine and SKYACTIVE-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine. In Canada, all CX-3 will be motorized SKYACTIV-G 2.0 gasoline engine. Keep tuned for all the specifications to be released soon.
The Mazda Connect car connectivity system and i-ACTIVSENSE advanced safety features are offered to enhance customers' driving pleasure. One of the most amazing functions is a (likely optional) head-up display (HUD) that can be found along the steering wheel. This advanced technology keeps your eyes on the road while getting all the info you need. This new generation also brings a floating roof to the design, refining the Mazda2 signature headlights and rear hatch.
Furthermore, the full lineup of 2015 model-year Mazdas including special racing and one-off project vehicles will be on Los Angeles Auto Show.
